Testimonials

Mr Dobson, Crossgates, Leeds

“After my freezer broken down, I immediately called your office last Wednesday at about 5pm. I had already resigned myself to the food defrosting and having to throw much of it in the bin, expecting that an engineer would probably be able to come out the next day at best. I spoke to Carol in the office who advised me that she would check the location of her engineers on the off chance that someone was near. To my delight, one of your engineers was passing by my home and was able to repair the freezer within an hour of my call, saving all the frozen food which was worth hundreds of pounds. At 5pm at night, it would have been easy for you guys to say ‘we will be out first thing tomorrow’, but instead you went that extra mile to help – thanks very much”

The Appliance Doctor is one of the leading providers of appliance repair services in Leeds. Over the last forty years we have developed a strong team of engineers who are experienced and trained to repair a diverse range of appliances including:

Top Tips To Make The Most Of Your Dishwasher

In large family homes, the dishwasher is highly valued for saving time in washing plates, utensils and pots at the push of a button. That being said, you have to take proper care of your dishwasher for it to perform fully. If your dishwasher is being used daily, you may notice that some dishes are needing to be washed more than once to get them properly clean. To help you get the most out of your dishwasher, the expert team at the appliance doctor have put together a few tips:

The right amount of detergent

Sometimes when the dishwasher is full to bursting with dishes it can be tempting to put in extra detergent to ensure that the dishes are cleaned. However this is actually bad for your dishwasher due to the excess suds.  However at the other end of the scale, if you do not use enough detergent your dishes will not be sufficiently clean. To ensure that you are using the right amount of detergent, follow the instructions in your user’s manual or on the box of the detergent.

Cleaning the drains

If your dishwasher is in full working order it should wash food waist down the drain without a problem, however, depending on how often the dishwasher is being used will determine how regularly the drain will have to be cleaned. Although it is not a pleasant job, it is recommended it should be clean at least once a month. If left too long without cleaning the food waist will build up and result in damage to your dishwasher that could have easily been avoided.

Repairs

Although dishwashers have become more affordable in recent years, without regular maintenance then you may be forced to have the appliance repaired or even replaced.

If this should happen you will be needing the service of a local well-known appliance engineer such as the Appliance Doctor. With over 40 years experience in the appliance repair industry you can trust our local engineers to repair your dishwasher in a timely manner.  For more information please content 0113 347 0172 or email info@appliancedoctorleeds.co.uk
